The legendary actor who gave his own version of romance to the Indian film industry, Dev Anand on December 4, 2011 passed away in London. The actor was 88 years old and died of cardiac arrest.

Anand was along with his son Sunil in London. When Sunil came out of the bathroom, he saw his father unresponsive and called the doctors immediately. The manager of the veteran actor, Mohan Churiwala informed that the actor died at 10 in the night.

The manager added that the actor will be cremated in London next week only after Tuesday. Churiwala added that the cremation cannot be held till Anand’s daughter reached London.

At present the body of the actor has been kept in a hospital. Anand’s wife, former actress Kalpana Karthik is also expected to accompany her daughter. Dev Anand, fondly known as Dev Saab has given some of his major hits in the film industry like ‘Hum Dono’ and ‘Guide’. His films not even managed to become a block buster but even the songs are till today remembered by people. The actor was known for making films with bold subject, yet he was loved and even adored by each and very person in the industry.
